The Preassessment Team

At York Teaching Hospital, patients coming for major elective surgery will generally be seen prior to their surgery in a preassessment clinic. Patients will receive a letter for this appointment detailing where and when it will be held. During this appointment you may be seen by a trained preassessment Nurse and possibly by a Consultant Anaesthetist. To find out more about this appointment click here.
