Meet the team
Surgical Care Practitioners
Surgical Care Practitioners are registered nurses that work with the surgical team in theatre and on the ward. They have advanced qualifications in patient assessment and care and most are non-medical prescribers. Patients will generally meet a surgical care practitioner for the first time on the day after surgery. They work closely with the surgical team in theatre and are responsible for ensuring patients get appropriate treatment following surgery.
